Ellowyn's Kitchen Chaos - Children's Book

Hey folks! Thanks so much for a great start to our campaign! The folks who know things say that a campaign needs to be 30% funded at the end of 48 hours in order to have a good chance of becoming fully funded by the end of the 21 day campaign. We are 46 hours in and we are 26% funded. So we need $221 more in pledges to hit that goal. Can we do it?

An update on Ellowyn's Kitchen Chaos crowdfunding campaign:

Well, that was crazy!

Last night I thought I was clicking a button to allow my Backerkit campaign to launch on the date I had previously entered as my launch date (which would have been today). But I was unknowingly launching it for right then. And once that's done, there's no going back. I wasn't planning to launch at 6:00 in the evening (even later in other parts of the country) and the first 48 hours are critical in getting momentum for a Backerkit campaign. So it was a mad dash to get the word out to as many people as I could that the campaign was starting early.

Thanks so much to those of you who hopped on and pledged right away! Your support fills me with so much joy. I love when a community comes together to support each other. You guys are the best!

At 15 hours in, we are 15.3% funded. They say that a project should be at least 30% funded in the first 48 hours to be successful. So we are doing well, so far. It's such an interesting mix of emotions, though, to be thrilled to see all the wonderful support, while also seeing how far we have to go and wondering if we can reach our goal. This is an "all or nothing" deal, so if we don't reach our goal of $6,000 by August 20th, the campaign is unsuccessful, none of the backers are charged, and there won't be any funding for us to get our book published. It's all so exciting and stressful at the same time.
